August/September Programs update with Maria Leonardi
This has been a busy month for the training team at enVizion.
We have finished up our “Foundations for your future” program and also started planning the next round of “Skilling Queenslander for Work” program.
During this time, we have said farewell to Rosita Haijema our Hospitality Trainer. She is now on her own journey of starting her own Life Coaching business.
Susan Mitchell, our Community Services trainer, has taken a few months off and has headed back home to Adelaide to visit family and take a well-deserved break.
We have welcomed our new Hospitality trainer Bronwen Gratton, who comes to us with many years’ experience in the training and Hospitality industries.
I have been busy looking for employment to suit our previous students and recruiting new students for our next “Skilling Queenslander for Work” program which started in the 27th August. We are excited about the extra material that we have added to the program. This will add a significant impact to students gaining job outcomes at the end.
I have also been marketing our programs and students to new host employers with a very positive outcome for the new program and also our previous students.
Congratulations to Deb Baker for making it to the State Finalist for the Queensland Training Awards
Congratulations to the following students who have gained employment in the last month:-
•Zemeth Tabuai as a Youth Worker
•Katrina Gulliver as a coordinator in the Community services sector
•Tui Broadbridge working in an authentic Indian Cuisine Food Bar
•Jeff Moore as a Disability Support worker
Good luck to the others that we have put forward for other jobs!
We have started our Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways, which will be a pathway to Certificate II in Hospitality and Certificate III in Community Services. We are very excited to see new Host Employers come on board with our programs. This will offer experience and expertise in the industry for our students, creating more success in job outcomes.
